The crafting process involves several artisanal stages: shaping from slip in gypsum molds, initial firing at 1000°C, decoration with non-toxic glazes, dip in crystalline glaze, and second firing at 920°C. The application of details in gilt gold is then fixed with a third firing at 720°C.
