This ceramic bauble with a classic round shape is hand-decorated with motifs of dark green holly, red berries, and stylised leaves on a light green watercolour background. The 24-carat gold details enhance the lines, giving a delicate brilliance to the surface.
The production process starts with slip casting in gypsum molds to create the sphere, which is then dried and fired at 1000°C. The bauble is then hand-painted with glossy and non-toxic enamels, dipped in clear glaze, and fired again at 920°C. Finally, the gold outlines are traced with 10% 24-carat gold and fixed with a final firing at 720°C.
