Liturgical set including a chalice, ciborium and paten model "Alveolo" in brass with 18 kt gold plating and silver-plated bees. The entire triad is handcrafted using the lost-wax casting technique with 18 kt gold galvanization; the bees are silver-plated.
The ciborium displays the honeycomb motif developing from the base along the stem, enriched by silver bees, up to the cup and lid produced on a turned plate and culminating in a cross surrounded by leaves and bees. The cup has a diameter of 5.5 in and the total height of the ciborium is 9.1 in.
The paten features a lateral ornament cast in microcasting and gold-plated that recalls the honeycomb motif, with silver bees. The paten measures 1.4 inches in height and 7.9 inches in diameter.
The chalice presents a stem decorated with a honeycomb motif finished with gold plating and silver bees. The ornament extends to approximately halfway up the cup. The chalice dimensions are 11.8 inches in height and 5.5-inch base diameter.
The entire set is artisanally produced by the Umbrian workshop Pical Arte Creazioni, specialised in precision casting and the crafting of sacred objects.
The set is supplied in an elegant red velvet presentation box, ideal for liturgical storage and display.
For cleaning, use a soft dry cloth. To remove fingerprints, a cloth slightly dampened with warm water may be used, drying immediately afterwards. Avoid aggressive detergents, alcohol, abrasive pastes and metal polishes, which could damage the 18 kt gold plating and the hand-applied finishes.
