The technique
The Linea Aurea collection by Bottega Tifernate is renowned for its high-quality artistic works created through the patented pictography technique developed by master Stefano Lazzari. This method enables the creation of reproductions that preserve all the aesthetic qualities of an authentic painting. Years of dedicated research and study in the field of painting and restoration have allowed the workshop in Città di Castello to faithfully restore the methods and recipes used by Renaissance masters on fresco, panel, and canvas. For frescoes, the same type of lime used by Giotto is employed, a pure lime devoid of salts and alkalis that could harm the artwork over time. The technique applied is "a fresco" with gold leaf embellishment, ensuring the colours blend seamlessly with the lime pigment during drying, thus guaranteeing a lasting and harmonious integration. The pigments utilised are oxide-based, preserving the colour intensity over time.
The painting
In the artwork, it is noteworthy that God's finger is consistently extended to the utmost, while Adam's finger displays a contraction of the last phalanx. This detail represents the perpetual presence of God but also underscores that it is man's choice to seek Him. Adam can choose to reach out to touch God's finger or live his life without doing so. Adam's contracted phalanx symbolises the concept of free will. Each piece includes a certificate of origin in the packaging, enhancing its value. A metal support and a hook at the back make the artwork suitable for wall decoration or table display.
