The documentary is a dive into the extraordinary beauty of this place and leads the viewer to discover the history not only of the building, but also of Saint Bruno and the Carthusians.
In occasion of the Jubilee in 2000 the charterhouse was completely restored. A work that lasted more than a year, which brought the extraordinary frescoes to their original splendor, thanks to the work of Daniele Crespi and Simone Peterzano. The film documents all the phases of the restoration, showing the great change between before and after the works: thanks to the use of stucco, colours and decorations the chartehouse shows its true face today.
