Russian icon, Annunciation painted on 19th century board 31x26 cm. Precious icon on an antique board of the 19th century, repainted by hand with egg tempera by iconographic masters of the Golden Ring of Moscow in the mid-20th.
The icon represents the meeting between Mary and the Archangel Gabriel, where Mary listens, head down, the Angel's words, announcing the virginal conception and the birth of the Messiah.
