Icon of the Virgin holding Baby Jesus in her arms, hand painted in Romania following traditional iconographic technics on a plank of wood with a canvas applied on it and covered by layers of plaster. This painting is characterised by the lighting technique: the characters give light, they are not illuminated by external sources of light. This is why the colour gold is predominant, as a symbole of light.
