Illuminated multilevel village, 70x80x50 cm, for Neapolitan Nativity Scene with 12 cm figurines.
This handcrafted village reproduces a typical scene from the Neapolitan Nativity Scene tradition, developed on several levels and hosting numerous everyday-life scenes. On the ground floor the Nativity is set inside the stable, accompanied by a shepherd with a sheep observing the scene, while merchants and other shepherds animate the village. A stairway on the right leads to the upper floor, where additional characters complete the setting with scenes inspired by village life.
The composition is lit by LED lights powered via an electrical plug, placed at several points to highlight the buildings, figures and scenic details, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Entirely handmade by a Neapolitan workshop specialising in the Nativity tradition, the village is completed by terracotta figurines modelled and hand-finished. The costumes are made of fabric to give greater naturalness to the characters and enhance the overall realism.
Figures, buildings and accessories are carefully assembled to form a harmonious, detail-rich composition. Small differences between one village and another are a natural consequence of manual workmanship and represent the added value of an artisanal product.
