Moor with bell for 14-16 cm Neapolitan Nativity Scene.
Terracotta figurine depicting a Moor standing while supporting a bell fixed to a long pole. With head and limbs modelled in terracotta and garments in fabric, this character adds an original presence to the Nativity, helping to recreate the lively atmosphere of traditional Neapolitan popular scenes.
Each statuette is modelled and finished by hand in the workshops of Naples, where the art of the Nativity is handed down through generations. The terracotta workmanship, combined with artisanal dressing and careful attention to detail, makes every piece an expression of the authentic Neapolitan Nativity Scene tradition.
The limited availability of the fabrics used for the clothing makes every example unique: colours, patterns and small details of the costume may therefore differ slightly from the photographs, enhancing the handcrafted character of the figurine.
Ideal for completing Nativity Scenes with 14-16 cm figures, this statuette sits harmoniously alongside other musicians, characters and everyday-life scenes typical of the Neapolitan Nativity.
Dimensions: 17x6x5 cm.
