Neapolitan Nativity figurine, King Herod 8cm
Neapolitan nativity figurine depicting king Herod, suitable for a 8cm (3,15in) nativity scene.
The character is made in Neaples, capital of the nativity scene tradition; the figurine is completely handmade, made of real terracotta, covered in molded cloth. The limited availability of the fabrics and the handmade craftsmanship result in a product that is always slightly different and therefore unique; a really valuable figurine for nativity scenes.

Thomas W.12/7/2025Ein schöner König Herodes. Er ist ganz überrascht, als die Sterndeuter bei ihm auftauchen und nach dem neugeborenen König der Juden fragen. Ein Schriftgelehrter hat ihm bereits seine Ergebnisse per Schriftrollen übergeben. Besonders gut finde ich, dass ich ihn nach Weihnachten bei oder Osterkrippe auch noch als sein Herodes Antipas einsetzen kann. TW
