Scene of mercy, Neapolitan nativity figurine measuring 12cm.
This Nativity figurine is made in Naples, the capital of the Italian Nativity tradition.
Every character is made of terracotta and dressed with fabric which is then treated and tailored.
The artisan nature of the product makes each character different from the others and therefore unique.

Thomas W.11/6/2019Ungewöhnliches Motiv. Allerdings, wenn man es nicht weiss, kommt man nicht unbedingt darauf, dass es der barmherzige Samariter sein soll. Dazu fehlen auch die Räuber, der Priester und der Levit. Aber man kann es ja auch einfach so sehen, dass sich hier jemand um einen Verletzten kümmert.
