Trumpet player for 14-16 cm Neapolitan Nativity Scene. Dimensions: 17x5x8 cm.
Terracotta figurine depicting a musician playing a trumpet; the face and limbs are modelled in terracotta and the clothing is made from fabric. The expressive pose and careful detailing help recreate the festive atmosphere typical of everyday scenes in the Neapolitan Nativity Scene.
Entirely handmade in Naples, the historic centre of the Neapolitan Nativity tradition, each figure is formed through attentive terracotta work and subsequently dressed by hand using techniques passed down by master Nativity Scene artisans, still a hallmark of Neapolitan artistic excellence.
The limited availability of the fabrics used makes every figurine unique: colours, patterns and small garment details may therefore vary slightly from the photographs, underscoring the authenticity of the handcrafted production.
Ideal for 14-16 cm Nativity Scenes, this statuette pairs perfectly with other musicians and characters, enriching the scene with a typical element of the Neapolitan tradition.
