Woman sifting flour, animated character for 16-18 cm Neapolitan Nativity Scene.
The preparation of bread comes to life in this scene: a woman is depicted sifting flour behind her stall, surrounded by the tools of the trade such as a scale, a sack of flour, a rolling pin and dough pieces ready for processing.
The composition is animated by an electric mechanism powered by a mains plug that reproduces the woman's back-and-forth motion with the sieve, adding dynamism and making the scene more engaging.
The figure is modelled in terracotta and hand-finished, with garments made of fabric; the stall and other workshop elements are made of wood.
Handcrafted in Naples through traditional artisan techniques, the piece is assembled manually from figures, furnishings and accessories to recreate an authentic Neapolitan workshop atmosphere.
Ideal for completing Nativity Scenes with figures measuring 16-18 cm in height.
