Woman with dresser and child for a 10 cm Neapolitan Nativity Scene.
This figurine portrays a woman engaged in domestic tasks, holding a broom beside a wooden dresser stocked with accessories that evoke everyday life in the Neapolitan Nativity.
On the shelves are terracotta plates, glasses, an amphora and a vase, while a child crawls at the woman’s feet, completing a finely detailed family scene.
The composition combines different materials to recreate a realistic setting: the figures’ bodies and the accessories are modelled in terracotta, the garments are made from fabric and the dresser is crafted in wood. The piece is entirely hand-finished.
Made in Naples according to the traditional Nativity craftsmanship, figures, furniture and accessories are individually worked and assembled by hand. Variations in the fabrics used and slight differences in the finishing are a natural consequence of artisanal production, making each composition unique while preserving its characteristic features.
Suitable for Neapolitan Nativity Scenes with figures approximately 10 cm high.
