Every character is made of terracotta and dressed with fabric which is then treated and tailored.
The artisan nature of the product makes each character different from the others and therefore unique.

The base is small enough to fit smaller installations and because the figure I received was a man without a beard, it will look well with figures that are 4,5,6,& 7 inch figures (with the larger ones it will look like representing an older boy). The tree is made out of a dried branch. I don't foresee the tree like branch lasting thought the years because eventually it will disintegrate or be slowly eaten by insects, no matter how well you store it. Nevertheless; the branch can be easily replaced with a fresh one at the time this happens. The monkey came loose in the same box but intact so I was able to glue it back on. It is a wonderful piece to accommodate even in another type of display that is not a Nativity.
