St. Benedict medals, PACK of 100 pcs, 0.9 in, aluminum.
The front of the medal depicts St. Benedict with a cross in his right hand, symbol of salvation, and the monastic rule in his left hand. Next to him are two symbols of miracles attributed to him: a broken cup, recalling the poisoned wine shattered after the sign of the cross, and a raven carrying away poisoned bread, a sign of protection against dangers.
These elements express the protective function of the medal, particularly against poisons and malignant influences. On the back, the acronym C.S.P.B. stands for "Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti". Inside the cross are the letters C.S.S.M.L. - N.D.S.M.D. meaning: "May the holy cross be my light - May the devil not be my guide". Around the edge, the inscription V.R.S.N.S.M.V. abbreviates the prayer: "Step back, Satan, do not tempt me with evil. Drink your own poisons".
At the top, the word PAX, symbol of peace, concludes the spiritual message of the medal.
