Door of the Basilica of the Nativity, Bethlehem, 3.5x3 in, coated alloy tile. Tile of 3.5x2.8 in made in Italy of green coated alloy, representing the Door of Peace of the Basilica of the Nativity in Bethlehem.
Made by a high-quality foundry, the tile shows the scenes of the Annunciation by the Archangel Gabriel to the Holy Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph's dream, the Adoration of the shepherds and the three Kings, the Nativity of Jesus in Bethlehem and Saint John Paul II and Saint Francis of Assis, pilgrims in Bethlehem.
The bottom of the tile shows two Latin inscriptions, that mean: "Blessed are you, Virgin Mary, resplendent gate of light; through you there came to shine on us Christ, the light of the world" and "In memory of St. John Paul II visit in 2000".
