The ciborium features a hand-chiseled Assisi stone base, giving the piece a unique, artisanal feel. The base extends to the stem of the ciborium, crafted from a turned slab and then plated in 18K gold. Connecting the upper and lower portions of the work is a refined relief decoration of leaves and bunches of grapes, crafted using the lost-wax casting technique and then plated in 18K gold. The lid is embellished with a rising cross, surrounded by leaves and bunches of grapes that echo the ornamental motif throughout the ciborium, creating an elegant sense of decorative continuity.
The ciborium was crafted at the Umbrian workshop Pical Arte Creazioni, renowned for its artisanal production of sacred art objects. The artist's signature, engraved on the bottom, attests to its authenticity and meticulous craftsmanship.
The ciborium comes in an elegant red velvet case, designed to protect it during storage and enhance its liturgical presentation.
To maintain its beauty over time, we recommend cleaning the surface with a soft, dry cloth. To remove any fingerprints, simply use a cloth slightly dampened with lukewarm water and dry immediately. Do not use alcohol, aggressive detergents, abrasive products or polishes, which could damage the 18kt gold plating and handcrafted finishes.
