Both pieces are hand-chiselled, giving depth and artisanal value to each element. The base alternates linear decorations and finely engraved Chi-Rho and IHS symbols. The chalice cup is enriched with grape-leaf motifs and ornamental friezes, traditional symbols of the Eucharistic liturgy. The ciborium features chiselled lines on the cup and repeats the grape-leaf and frieze decoration on the lid, creating visual harmony between the two pieces. The lid is completed by a gilt fish placed on the top, a further symbolic reference to the Christian tradition.
