The cup, also finished in 18kt gold but made from a turned sheet, is connected to the base by a rich ornamental motif of leaves and bunches of grapes, created in relief using the precision casting technique. Adding to the decorative effect are the pink crystals applied to the bunches of grapes, representing the grapes themselves, a detail that adds brightness and liveliness to the overall effect. The decorative motif continues harmoniously to the first half of the lid, surmounted by a cross and embellished with additional leaves and bunches of grapes that echo the ornamental theme of the entire ciborium.
The ciborium is handcrafted by the Umbrian workshop Pical Arte Creazioni, a company specialising in the production of sacred art objects. The artist's signature engraved on the bottom testifies to the authenticity and precision of the work.
