Crafted by skilled Italian artisans specialised in sacred furnishing items, this monstrance is created using the lost-wax technique, where molten metal, in this case brass, is poured into a hollow wax mold.
The golden elements result from a 24k gold galvanic gilding process, while the silver parts are plated in silver, imparting an extraordinary two-tone appearance to the monstrance.
The structure consists of three main parts: an ovoid-shaped base richly adorned with ornamental motifs in line with the Baroque style, a central body featuring an angel with hands raised upwards, symbolising spiritual elevation, and a radiant display with golden rays of light, culminating in a crown flanked by two cherubs.
The openable case, with a lunette capable of holding a host with a maximum diameter of 5.9 in, is embellished with zircons enhancing the overall luminosity of the composition.
