Archangel Gabriel by Luca Signorelli, essential finish, d. 2.5 in, Bottega Tifernate. This round picture, measuring 2.4 in of diameter, belongs to the Linea Aurea collection by Bottega Tifernate and reproduces a detail of the famous painting by Luca Signorelli called "The Archangel Gabriel". This item of the Aurea collection is an exclusive work of art, made and finished by hand by qualified painters with academic training.
The technique
The Linea Aurea collection by Bottega Tifernate stands out for its high quality artistic works created through the patented pictography technique, created by the master Stefano Lazzari. This method allows you to create reproductions that maintain all the aesthetic qualities of an authentic painting. Years of dedicated research and study in the field of painting and restoration have enabled the Città di Castello workshop to faithfully restore the methods and recipes that the Renaissance masters applied in their creations on fresco, panel and canvas. For the frescoes, the same type of lime used by Giotto is used, a pure lime, free of salts and alkalis that could damage the work over time. The technique used is ''a fresco'' with gold leaf retouch, which allows the colors to blend perfectly with the lime pigment during drying, thus ensuring long-lasting and harmonious integration. The pigments used are oxide-based, which guarantees that the intensity of the color remains unchanged over time.
The painting
The work shows the half-length portrait of the archangel in the foreground with his right hand blessing, while in his left he holds a white lily and a scroll. He is dressed in white with a green coat and red lapels, colours that are also reflected in the shades of his wings. The figure stands out against a uniform background of neutral tone. The reproduction comes with a certificate of provenance inside the packaging, adding value to your purchase. A hook on the back makes the work suitable as a decorative wall element.
