Flight into Egypt by Giotto, essential finish, 3.5x3.5 in, Bottega Tifernate. This elegante picture, belonging to the Linea Aurea collection of Bottega Tifernate, reproduces the fresco by Giotto called "The Flight into Egypt". This item of the Aurea collection is an exclusive work of art, made and finished by hand by qualified painters with academic training.
The technique
The Linea Aurea collection by Bottega Tifernate stands out for its high quality artistic works created through the patented pictography technique, created by the master Stefano Lazzari. This method allows you to create reproductions that maintain all the aesthetic qualities of an authentic painting. Years of dedicated research and study in the field of painting and restoration have enabled the Città di Castello workshop to faithfully restore the methods and recipes that the Renaissance masters applied in their creations on fresco, panel and canvas. For the frescoes, the same type of lime used by Giotto is used, a pure lime, free of salts and alkalis that could damage the work over time. The technique used is ''a fresco'' with gold leaf retouch, which allows the colors to blend perfectly with the lime pigment during drying, thus ensuring long-lasting and harmonious integration. The pigments used are oxide-based, which guarantees that the intensity of the color remains unchanged over time.
The painting
The composition of the scene forms a pyramid, outlined by the rocks in the background, scattered with small trees that represent the desolate and arid lands mentioned in the apocryphal Gospels. The colour tones are delicate, standing out against the blue of the sky. The figures emerge almost as if sculpted, defined by blocks of colour with clear outlines. The picture comes with a certificate of origin inside the packaging, adding value to the purchase. A separate metal support makes the work suitable as a decorative table element.
