In his life he was an army officer, taught at university, wrote essays, elaborated new theories and mathematical formulas, invented writing methods for the blind, drew architectural plans, composed music... and along with all these things, he was also ordained a priest and founded the Congregation of the Minimal Sisters of Our Lady of Suffrage. A true protagonist of his time. A figure of absolute importance in nineteenth-century Turin, full of men and women who, animated by a lively faith, committed themselves to great civil and religious initiatives: the "Social Saints". This documentary aims to present Francesco Faà di Bruno by reconstructing the multiplicity, complexity and depth of his figure. The guide is Fanco Giacobini (cinema and theatre actor), who retraces the places linked to him and investigates his personality with the help, among others, of Vittorio Messori, who wrote the book "Un italiano serio" about Faà di Bruno.
