In this dramatic context, in 1531, Juan Diego, an Aztec convert, has an apparition. Mary appears to him on a hill to the north of the future Mexico City and, at the fourth apparition, offers him incontrovertible proof: Her image, rich in symbols for the Aztec people, miraculously imprinted on the poor indigenous man's cloak.
Thanks to the contributions of historians and religious figures, the DVD recalls the events of that time, the tens of thousands of conversions that followed and explains how the apparitions of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe had a very strong social impact, leading to the birth of a unified Mexican spirit.
