City of the Vatican. Every year millions of people crowd its museum and its Basilica, but it remains one of the most secret places on earth. What is hidden behind those doors where tourists aren't admitted? Thanks to special permissions, the cameras of History Channel accessed the secret Archives of the Vatican: 80 kilometers of shelves of top-secret documents, to discover the relationship between the Pope and the other States of the world. Among these, there are the letters between the Pope and Lincoln dated back to the American civil war but also dossiers on the period of the Cold war. The visit leads to the rooms of the Pope where he spends his intense days: the sophisticated security system to protect him is shown, and also the study centre where the greatest minds of the world work. The DVD is an unreleased document which offers an extraordinary glance on the smallest state in the world, centre of faith and cristianity.
