The languages of catechesis are experiences through which it is possible to live, with different modalities and levels of involvement, the encounter of friendship with Jesus. They are relational languages that, if well used, are able to ignite the spiritual senses of children and young people. The authors of the book and the CREAtiv trainers, in many years of activity, have met thousands of catechists throughout Italy, people of good will and passion, but often in difficulty in their pastoral service. In particular, they have noticed a difficulty in overcoming a method that is still too scholastic and cognitive and the lack of linking evangelisation to the languages that make it effective: narrative-autobiographical language, biblical language, liturgical-symbolic language, experiential language. The aim of this text is to help catechists to know the specificity of these languages and to suggest for each of them tools, games, activities able to animate in a creative and effective way the catechesis meeting.
