Ancient Russian icon of St George and the dragon, linden wood, 19th century, 12.4x10.4 inches. Ancient Russian icon from Moscow, painted in the 19th century on linden wood with egg tempera, representing Saint George on his white horse fighting the dragon with a lance. The painting is completed by Jesus blessing the saint on the left corner, an angel crowning Saint George, the princess and the monarchs on the right side.
The icon is covered in gold leaf and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity in a blue velvet case.
