The latter, with adult's features, is blessing the audiance with his right hand, while holding a golden Gospel with the left.
Looking carefully at the Virgin's chest, we can notice a manifestation of the Holy Spirit by her pearl necklace.
The Greek initials of the two subjets (Mother of God and The One who is) stands out on the golden background.
Other versions of the same subject depict the Mother of God without the Infant Jesus and with 6 swords pirecing her heart with one downwards.
