This icon depicts the famous legend of Saint George who killed an evil dragon. After this victory over the dragon, Saint George coverted the pagan population to Christianism. The intense colours of this icon and its golden frame make it a precious object. This icon is hand-painted according to the Byzantine technique and it is a reproduction of the original icon of Saint George dated XVII century and showcased at the Benaki Museum in Athens. This icon comes in an elegant blue velvet box with internal satin covering.
