Russian Feodorovskaya icon of the Mother of God, 16.5x11.8 inches, découpage. Modern Russian icon with antique finish, made by hand with découpage and paint on hardwood, reinforced with crossbeams according to the classic Russian tradition to prevent the painting from benting over time.
The halos are painted with different shades of gold.
The Feodorovskaya icon of the Mother of God is also known as Our Lady of Saint Theodore and the Black Virgin Mary of Russia, patron icon of the Romanov family.
