This is a very elegant and fine icon representing the special moment of the Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary by the Angel Gabriel: she is sitting on the throne of her glory, she is beloved for her purity and chosen for her humility.
The top part of this icon is hand-shaped.
This icon is hand painted in Romania following ancient Byzantine traditions.
