Hand-painted Russian icon of the Theotokos of Tolga 14x10 cm. Russian icon made and painted by hand, representing the Theotokos of Tolga, Elousa type, named after the river Tolga where the icon was manifested to Prokhor, the bishop of Rostov in 1314.
Painted on a background of golden leaf over a linden wood plank following Byzantine-Russian icon school principles, the whole painting has a wrinkling effect for an antique finish.
Icon delivered in a linden wood box with guarantee certificate and hook to hang it on the back.
