In Russia, knowledge of the icon dates back to the 14th century and has since been subject to the historical-political upheavals of Russia. For example, during the revolution, religious relics were devalued, and the icon of the Theotokos "Helper in Childbirth" was confiscated and then disappeared. Until 1924, it was in Blagoveshchensk; since then, its fate is unknown.
