Russian painted icon of the Holy Virgin Dostoyno Est, 5.5x3.9 inches. Tradition tells that by the monastery of Kareis, lived once an old hermit with his initiate, dedicating their lives to God. A Saturday evening, the old hermit went to the monastery for a wake, leaving the young man alone. At some point, an unknown monk knocked on the door. After the initiate has opened it, they started to read prayers together. Then the monk sang a song and the icon in the room started to glow. The initiate asked him to write the song down and the man started to write it on a stone tablet, that became as soft as wax. The initiate spend all night singing the song and, when the old hermit came back, asked him to tell him everything. Then the old man went back to the monastery to spread the news and, afterwards, the Orthodox Church glorified the Mother of God with the words of that song.
