St. John the Baptist, painted resin, 8 in. Statue of high quality resin, representing Saint John the Baptist with a white tunic and a yellow cloak, colours symbolising purity and light. In his left hand, the saint holds a shell, symbol of the baptism, and a cross with a white band evoking his role of Christ's forerunner. His right hand is raised in a blessing gesture. A small lamb lies by his feet, symbolising innocence and John's definition of Jesus as Lamb of God.
