Round ceramic Christmas ornament, hand-decorated with a simple yet luminous design. Against a light blue background reminiscent of the winter sky, stylised pine branches, vibrant green holly leaves, and shiny red berries stand out. Precision-applied gold outlines give a sparkling touch that enhances the entire ball.
This decoration originates from a completely handmade process: clay is worked into slip, poured into gypsum molds shaping its form. After drying, the ball undergoes its first firing at 1000°C, creating the ceramic base. Subsequently hand-painted with glossy, lead-free, non-toxic enamels. Following this, the ball is immersed in a transparent glaze for brilliance and protection. Followed by a second firing at 920°C.
Finally, hand-traced 10% pure gold details are applied and fixed with a third firing at 720°C.
Made in Italy by a company specialising in artistic Christmas ceramics.
