This refined Dellarte Ceramiche Christmas ball depicts the iconic image of the Virgin with Child, with a delicate and intense painting style.
Each piece is crafted through an artisanal process starting from shaping the slip in gypsum molds, drying, and undergoing an initial firing at 1000°C. The decoration is meticulously hand-painted with non-toxic enamels and protected with a layer of transparent glaze, enhancing the colours with the second firing at 920°C.
The final touch of 10% pure gold leaf enhances the artwork, fixed through a third and final firing at 720°C.
