This Dellarte Ceramiche Christmas sphere embodies a perfect blend of art, tradition, and quality. Crafted entirely by hand, each stage of its creation follows a meticulous artisanal process. Starting with slip, a liquid clay poured into specific plaster molds, the sphere takes its precise and regular shape.
After careful drying, the ball undergoes an initial firing at 1000°C, turning into a solid ceramic biscuit ready for decoration. The design is hand-applied with eco-friendly glazes, enhancing the surface with a pattern depicting a stylised tree surrounded by golden stars. Subsequently, the ball is immersed in a transparent glaze, enhancing and deepening the colours. This is followed by a second firing at 920°C to set the glaze and the application of 10% 24-karat gold leaf, requiring a final firing at 720°C to complete the masterpiece.
Produced by Dellarte Ceramiche, a family-run company founded by Paola Zaghi, this creation brings value and refinement to every Christmas decoration.
