This Christmas bauble by Dellarte Ceramiche stands out for its intense midnight blue background, embellished with golden touches reminiscent of a starry sky. Entirely handmade in Italy, it originates from a meticulous artisanal process. Starting from slip, the liquid clay is poured into plaster molds to achieve a precise and durable shape. After the first firing at 1000°C, it undergoes freehand decoration using non-toxic and lead-free glazes. Subsequently, the bauble is immersed in transparent crystalline glaze and fired again at 920°C to achieve a glossy effect. Adding further refinement is the final application of 10% pure gold leaf, fixed with a third firing at 720°C.
