This glazed ceramic Christmas bauble, with its classic round shape, features a delicate decoration with fir branches, bright green holly leaves, and small red berries, harmoniously arranged on a light blue background. Hand-applied golden outlines subtly illuminate each element, evoking the purity of winter and the holiday ambiance.
This ornament is entirely artisan-made. Starting from slip, a fluid clay mixture poured into plaster molds to achieve the spherical shape. After drying, a first firing at 1000°C is carried out to obtain the so-called biscuit.
Followed by hand decoration with non-toxic and lead-free glazes, safe for health and the environment. The bauble is then immersed in a crystalline glaze, providing brilliance and colour protection, then fired at 920°C to set the decoration.
Lastly, details in 10% 24-karat gold are applied, fixed with a third firing at 720°C, giving the surface a shiny and precious finish. An authentic Italian product, crafted by a historic company from Lucca established since 1900, specialising in hand-decorated Christmas ceramics.
