Father Clemente Vismara (Agrate 1897 - Mongping 1988) was a PIME missionary in Burma for 65 years, during which his personal life was intertwined with the dramatic history of that country, now Myanmar. Passionate witness to the Gospel, Father Clemente distinguished himself for his intense educational activity: throughout his life he welcomed and accompanied orphans, abandoned and disabled children. Like many other missionaries of his time, he was the protagonist of an extraordinary human and spiritual adventure, but with an exceptional spirit of faith, love and trust in Providence. He was proclaimed Blessed on 26 June 2011.
