This image is one of the most ancient et the most venerable of the icons of this iconographic type.

Usually, in the centre of the icon, we find the portrait of the Mother of God with the Infant Jesus in regal clothes, decorated with golden details. The Infant Jesus is standing on a table in front of his Mother as a sign of closeness of the Virgin Mary to the house of God.
On the most complete icons, are also depicted the Sun, the Moon, the star, the thurible, the candle and other objects that are symbols of Mary. The flowering branches and the planters are connected to the name of the icon, "Unfading Flower".
This icon is celebrated on April 3.
This ancient icon comes from Greece and was painted with egg tempera in the 18th century.
Delivered in a blue velvet box with the evaluation of an expert.
